PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A television commercial produced to promote Pigeon Forge has been nominated for an EMMY Award.
Pigeon Forge commercials won EMMYs in 2007, 2008 and 2009. The spot was prodused by BOHAN Advertising, the company has won awards 7 out of the last 8 years.
The most recently nominated commercial supported the marketing campaign for the highly successful 2012 tourism year. It aired in 18 markets and was featured in a national special about Pigeon Forge produced for the Great American Country cable TV network.
“Television is a vital part of Pigeon Forge’s marketing efforts. We see daily how successful TV advertising is, and it’s very exciting that marketing experts consider what we produce worthy of Emmy consideration,” said Leon Downey, executive director of the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism.
The Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences gives the awards. Winners will be announcement Jan. 26 in Nashville.
