PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Pigeon Forge tourism leaders gathered to look at the city's marketing plan for 2013 and work to get all businesses on board with "The Land of More."
City leaders say they've investing more than $6 million into a television, radio, print and internet campaign.
In 2013, the City has coined the term "The Land of More." They say Pigeon Forge has more mountains, more ice cream, more roller coasters, more of everything than any other destination. They plan on putting that message in 18 core markets.
This year they plan on venturing to new means of advertising, that could reach the target audience better. The new advertising adventure will be on X-Box LIVE.
The city hopes businesses will embrace the concept and use it in their daily structure along with any marketing they may do.
"It'll just make it that much strong if the business community will say, welcome to The Land of More, and actually show that through something they're doing with their business. It'll resonate well with our guests. They'll see it in our commercial and in Print," said Leon Downey, Director of Tourism.
