The founder and chairman of Pilot has answered questions for the first time about the company's rebate fraud scandal.
Jim Haslam issued a question-and-answer statement on his company's website.
He said quote: "It's obviously been a terrible event for our company and our family. There's no sense in trying to deny it in any way. It's been tough, very tough."
When asked what the company will rebuild the business’ reputation Haslam responded with quote: "We will continue to do the right thing and treat our customers and team members in the right way. obviously this was a case where a few people weren't doing the right thing."
