KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- This week is all about easy Valentine's Day treats. From a brownie in a coffee mug to chocolate covered strawberries, Heather and Erin show us a few ideas.
PINSPIRATION - Brownie in a Mug
What you'll need:
4 Tablespoons of Sugar
4 Tablespoons of Flour
2 Tablespoons cooking oil
2 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder (unsweetened)
Mix together & microwave for about 90 seconds. This is a simple treat that could double as a gift idea. Enjoy!
PINSPIRATION - Chocolate Berry Bites
WVLT viewer Jim Stephens messaged Heather on Facebook, requesting help for this year's Valentine's Day. He said a couple of years ago his wife asked for chocolate covered strawberries. What he gave her was a chocolate bar sitting on top of a box of strawberries. While Jim was technically not wrong, his wife didn't see the humor.
Using an ice cube tray, slice strawberries and prop them up along the sides of the openings. Melt chocolate and pour it in the openings. This will limit the mess and create small chocolate covered strawberry bites.
