Playing games to heal kids

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) Several people got to be heroes by simply playing games for hours.

Many got their game faces on for the extra life gaming marathon to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

Players were asked to find sponsors to donate one-dollar each hour.
Any kind of game could be played, from video to board games, all for the kids.
Michael Rasknake an event organizer says, "You raise sponsorship from people in the community, friends, family, and ask them to sponsor your play. All of the money goes to East Tennessee Children's Hospital."

The games started at eight Saturday morning and played through the time change until 8 Sunday morning, for 25 hours in all.
