LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who fell off bleachers at a Lexington Park.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the boy, identified as Cristiano Wade, died Wednesday after falling from bleachers at Lexington's Douglass Park.
Fayette County's coroner's office has not determined the cause of death. Autopsy results are pending.
Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said the department's Crimes Against Children Unit was investigating. She said it would not be known whether charges would be filed until after the coroner determines the cause of death.
Relatives and friends held a vigil for the boy on Friday night. The crowd was urged to sign a petition aimed at improving bleacher safety.
