UPDATE: Blount County Police say they have the man accused of groping a teen at a Panera in Alcoa in custody.
Bruce William Ruck, age 59, has been charged with sexual battery and indecent exposure. His bond is set at $$2,250 for both charges.
Police say he groped a teen at a restaurant in Alcoa. Investigators tell us and there could be more victims.
This is the picture we showed you Wednesday night after police asked us to help track this guy down. Alcoa detectives tell us they've now talked to him. They're also hearing from more teens who say he assaulted them.
This man walked into Alcoa Police Department Wednesday night and told police he was the man in the picture. Alcoa Police Detective Kris Sanders says, "He said I heard you guys were looking for me. We had brief conversation just about what was going on."
Investigator Kris Sanders questioned him about fondling a 16-year old girl at this Panera restaurant in Alcoa Friday night. Sanders says, "He placed his hand on her thigh and moved his hand closer to her groin area. It made her uncomfortable."
The manager noticed something unusual and went up to the table and the man left. The man denies it and said it's a case of mistaken identity. Sanders says if this ever happens to you, make a lot of noise and that's exactly what this parent taught his daughter about stranger danger.
Parent Robert Ogle says, "I tell her to start screaming and try to get away. The kids are our future. If we don't take care of them then they can't grow up and have a good future."
Detective Sanders tells us others have called saying that man has fondled them. No charges yet, Sanders tells me he believes this man has done the same thing at other places around town including the public library and a Knoxville Panera.
