Crimetracker: Police need help in identifying bank robber

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) The Knoxville Police Department and the FBI need your help in identifying a man who robbed Home Federal Bank.

Police say it happened at 12:15 Monday afternoon, a male entered the bank on 3101 North Broadway and gave the bank teller a note, claiming he had a gun, and demanding money.

After getting the cash, the man fled and was last seen running in the vicinity of a neighborhood at Dempster Street and Nickerson Avenue.

He was carrying a yellow plastic bag.

He is in his 30s, 5'11 to 6'01'', weighing 220 to 230 pounds.

The man has a stocky build, he's unshaven.

He was wearing a white ball cap, light grey hooded sweatshirt, white undershirt, blue jeans and purple latex gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751, or KPD at 865-215-7212.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this man.
