NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Nashville have charged a man identified as a restaurant employee with running over a customer with a car and robbing him.
Authorities charged 30-year-old Kenneth Hale Jr. with attempted criminal homicide and robbery.
WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/YQx0NF ) reported Hale confronted two men in the parking lot of an IHOP pancake restaurant Sunday morning about whether they had paid their bill.
Police said Hale followed the men to an apartment where the argument continued until Hale punched one of them men, who fell to the ground unconscious. Authorities said Hale got into the men's car and ran over the man he had punched, critically injuring him.
Police said Hale later turned himself in. He is held in lieu of $200,000 bond.
