KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A local thief apparently wanted to be prepared for a big Fourth of July shindig. According to police, a man drove off with a Buddy's BBQ pull behind smoker/grill trailer early Tuesday morning.

The suspect reportedly pulled his green Jeep with a soft, tan top pulled into the Buddy's BBQ,5806 Kingston Pike, around 4:00 a.m. and drove off with it.

He is described as a white man in his early 20's, tall, with a slim build, and balding hair.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Knoxville Police Department's crime information line at 865-215-7212.

Buddy's BBQ announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whomever was responsible for the theft of the trailer.
