KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A group of about 75 demonstrators stood in front of West Town Mall Saturday afternoon to protest the conflict happening along the Gaza Strip.
They want to educate the community on the situation overseas.
Many of the protesters have family back in Palestine and are speaking up so they can have peace.
"Not just peace where they don't get bombed, but the ability to go out and seek higher education and make something leave the little 136 square foot box they live in," says Amjed Dweik.
Israelis say they are willing to extend a cease fire with Gaza, but leaders in Gaza have yet to agree.
