SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Sevierville Police Department is warning residents of a potential scam.
The Sevier County Health Department reported Tuesday that they were contacted by a person living in Sevierville, who reported that a man identifying himself as a health department employee had come to her home asking questions.
The health department wants everyone to know that they are not going door to door.
It's unclear what questions the man was asking or what his intent might have been.
If you are approached at your home by anyone claiming to be from the health department, please call the SPD at 453-5507, or call your local law enforcement agency.
