SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Sevier County woman has plead guilty to her role in a 2010 day long crime spree.

Monday, Amanda Key, was in a Sevier County Courtroom, and plead guilty to Attempted Armed Robbery. Key was arrested in 2010, after prosecutors say she drove her boyfriend around the area while he robbed women.

Police say one woman was robbed at the Pigeon Forge Walgreen's, another at the Seymour Kroger.

In a 2010 News Release, Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said the sheriff's office received a call at 10:36 Tuesday morning, that a man approached a woman in a Kroger parking lot in Seymour, pushed her down into the car. The woman told officers the man grabbed her purse, started yelling for her to give it to him and told her he had a gun.

The victim says she started yelling and blowing her car horn until the suspect ran away.

A short time earlier, officers received a vehicle description of a similar robbery that occurred earlier in Pigeon Forge, and when they responded to the Seymour Kroger scene, an officer spotted a vehicle in a nearby Food City parking lot that matched the description.

The officer pulled in behind the green Mercury Mountaineer SUV, attempted to approach the driver, but police say he got out of the vehicle and ran. Officers caught up with James Nuchols on foot in a field near North Knob Creek Road.

Deputies then arrested James Wesley Nuchols, 24, was charged with aggravated robbery, resisting arrest and evading arrest.

Key was arrested a short time later. She will not have to go to jail, she got credit for time served.
