Roger Wilson with KCSO passes away

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A friend of the family has told Local 8 News Roger Wilson with the Knox County Sheriff's Office has passed away.

A heart attack took his life Sunday evening.

Wilson was highly involved in Carter High School athletics. He continually donated money to the program after his son, Andy, passed away 6 years ago.

Carter Hornets tweeted earlier this evening, "The Carter Community has lost one of our most influential and iconic members of our community today RIP Roger Wilson a truly great man!"
