Running backs coach Jay Graham leaves Vols for Florida State

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- UT alumnus and running backs coach Jay Graham will be leaving the Volunteers, Local 8 Sports' Austin Price confirmed. He will assume the same role under Jimbo Fisher at Florida State University.

"The process of adding a new coach to our staff is underway," said head coach Butch Jones. "(w)e will hire the best person possible as we continue to build our program."

Graham left South Carolina in 2011 to join Derek Dooley's staff and played a major role in recruiting for the Vols.

In his brief time at Tennessee the Vols more than doubled their rushing output, from 70.4 yards per game in 2011 to 160.3 yards per game this past season.
