SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)--There will be thousands of jolly men dressed in red running around Sevierville this weekend with the 2nd Annual Santa Hustle.

The event is being held at Wilderness at the Smokies resort in Sevierville on Sunday, December 9 at 8 a.m. The holiday half marathon and 5K will show off participants wearing Santa hats and beards and custom Santa shirts.

So far nearly 3,000 people have signed up to run down the Parkway in Sevierville. Participants are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots in Sevier County.

“Last year was a fantastic start for us here in East Tennessee, and we fully expect this year’s event to be even better, with many more participants,” said Adrenaline Sports Management event director Heather Frayn. “Not only are we excited to be back in the Great Smoky Mountains, but we are also delighted to be helping out Toys for Tots during the holiday season.”

Reindeer rides will be available for the kids.
