KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office says two more women have come forward accusing a 38 year-old Knoxville man of raping them.
Michael Robert Reagan is already behind bars after investigators say he attacked and tried to rape two women on back-to-back nights. A Knoxville Police officer arrested Reagan shortly after the second attack.
Reagan now faces three counts of Aggravated Rape and one count Attempted Aggravated Rape. His bond for the two newest cases are $500,000 each, which brings his total bond to $2 million dollar bond. The sheriff's department also pointed out that he has a long criminal history that includes assault, simple possession, theft, vandalism, and domestic assault.
The first attack happened shortly after 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the sheriff's office said. Reports indicate Reagan picked up a woman "for the purpose of paying for sex." He drove her to Archie Weigel Road in east Knox Co. where he held her at gunpoint and demanded sex. After getting away, the woman called 911 from a nearby home.
Then, around 2:00 a.m. the very next day, Reagan offered another woman a ride home. Instead, he drove her to River Landing Way in east Knox Co. Once there, he allegedly threatened the woman with a knife and tried raping her. When she managed to escape, Reagan tried running her over.
The victim ran to a nearby wooded area where she called 911. Later that morning, a KPD officer spotted the suspect's vehicle on Central Ave. near Scott Ave. where he arrested Reagan. The sheriff's office said both women have identified him as their attacker.
The Knox Co. Sheriff's Office said it is investigating and that there could be more victims.
