PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Dozens of community leaders in Pigeon Forge held a service to Salute America's Veterans on Thursday.
A heartwarming service, just for America's veterans was held at the Dixie Stampede, lunch was served at noon.
Sevier County's Hospitality Associations including, Sevieriville Chamber of Commerce, Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association, and Gatlinburg Hospitality Association put together the star spangled service for veterans in the county.
"Several times a year our local hospitality associations come together to meet and today was to Salute America's Heroes," said Ken Maples, President Sevier County Hospitality & Lodging Alliance. "Our veteran's who fought to provide our freedom and we greatly appreciate that and want to honor them for there service and sacrifice."
An estimated 4,000 people cheered as a Veteran's Day parade made its way down the parkway in Pigeon Forge on Tuesday. The parade was a part of the Winterfest kickoff for the city.
