SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Severville's Bloomin' BBQ & Bluegrass festival was named a top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society.
The Festival of the year Shining Example Award for attendance under 100,000, was awarded in Virginia Beach. The award recognizes the event's high level of organization, event production and community involvement.
“The Sevierville Chamber of Commerce is proud to coordinate an event like this and we are thrilled that it earned Top 20 Event / Festival of the Year from Southeast Tourism Society,” says Sevierville Chamber of Commerce CEO Brenda McCroskey. “Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass has grown steadily over the last nine years and is truly a testament to the amazing things that can happen when different organizations, businesses and government entities work together.”
The next Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass festival will be May 17 – 18, 2013 in downtown Sevierville.
