SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- In 1984, the Parks and Recreation Department installed a stained glass map of the City of Sevierville in the lobby ceiling of the Community Center. The map, produced by local artist Chuck Ottolini, depicts eleven prominent City landmarks.
Repairs and cleaning of the map were recently performed, and it has been reinstalled in the Community Center lobby. To reintroduce this unique artwork the City is holding a “Guess the Glass” contest from May 20-31, 2013.
The City boundaries have expanded somewhat over the past 29-years. And of interest regarding the stained glass map, six of the eleven landmarks have moved from the locations shown on the map. Do you know which six landmarks have relocated?
The first three people* to identify the six relocated landmarks will be winners (*entries will be randomly drawn; the first three entries drawn with the correct answers will be the winners). Contestants can use the map legend located in the lobby for reference. The drawing will be held on Wednesday, June 5.
Winners will be able to choose from passes to the following areas: Bowling Center, Family Aquatic Center, Fitness Center, or Racquetball Court.
