Smokies road reopens after rockslide shutdown

(WVLT) U.S. Highway 441/Newfound Gap Road through The Great Smoky Mountains National Park had to be closed overnight Saturday night-Sunday morning because of a rockslide. But quick work by road crews has allowed the highway to reopen to traffic by late Sunday morning.
Earlier this year a slide shut down the same highway for several months before repairs could be completed.
