Stolen school bus found in a field

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- A stolen school bus has been recovered off Rutledge Pike near September Lane.

A tow truck pulled the bus from a ditch Wednesday afternoon.

The bus can't go forward. It can only go in reverse.

The bus was taken from Ron and Donna McConkey's driveway on Washington Pike early Monday morning.

The couple has owned the bus for 26 years and use it to transport special needs students to and from school every day.

It's still unclear who took the bus.
