SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tonight the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce will host Sugarfest. This is the 2nd year for Sugarfest, which is an evening event that uses sweets as a way to raise money for local high schools and auctions membership breakfast title sponsorship.
Sugarfest starts at 5:30pm at River Plantation Conference Center. Tickets are available for $7.
During Sugarfest, attendees will have a chance to vote for their favorite desserts in the "Best of Sugarfest" contest. Live desserts will be there for people to bid on during the auction as well.
"This is a great way to sample the desserts available in the area prior to the holidays while also helping to raise additional dollars for the E.L.F. fund," says Sevierville Chamber marketing director Amanda Marr. In addition to sampling the tasty treats and bidding on them, Sugarfest attendees will also be provided information about ordering desserts from participating businesses for the holidays. "Many of our food service members take holiday orders for cakes and baked goods. So Sugarfest is a great way for people to sample those desserts and - if they want - place their orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas."
