Summer riding camp helps sick children

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The Nottingham Farm Riding Camp invites any kids currently at the East Tennessee Children's Hospital or have been a patient to participate in camp.

It's a chance for sick children to get out and play in a safe environment with medical professionals on hand for any emergencies.

The kids spend a week learning all about horses and how to ride them. The camp is free of charge for the families thanks to the generosity of sponsors like Marcos Graza from The Graza Law Firm in Knoxville.

Since it is expensive to hold this summer camp; sponsors like The Graza Law Firm are desperately needed to keep the camp going. You can find more information about helping out at the link below.

To raise some awareness about the camp; they're holding a free concert Friday, June 7, 2013 starring country star Rachel Holder. The concert starts at 2:00 p.m. Free parking is available at East Knox Elementary School off Rutledge Pike.
