HARRIMAN, Tenn. (WVLT) More than 100 people showed up Friday evening to offer prayers, support, and words of condolences to family of 5 year-old Harriman boy who was found dead last week in Rhea County.

Jerry Wells said he has been overwhelmed by how much the community has come together to offer support after his grandson, Landon Robbins was found dead inside his mother's home in Rhea County.

Wells said he hopes that his grandson's death may be a way to keep other kids safe.

"That one life can save no telling how many more lives. I hate that it had to be my grandson that lost his life to do this," Wells said.

Friends and family sang songs and listened to speakers while holding candles and surrounding a picture of Landon with his two sisters inside Riverfront Park in Harriman.

Landon's mother, 24 year-old Jessica Robbins and her boyfriend, 22 year-old Bradley Adcox are facing charges of aggravated child abuse and felony first degree murder, after Landon was found inside their home.

Preliminary autopsy reports show that Landon died from several blunt force trauma.
