KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- New coach Butch Jones and the Vols proudly did their second Vol Walk of the season Saturday morning and thousands of fans came out to watch.

"Last week's game was very, very expected - the outcome. This game, I think we might actually have a bit of a challenge after what they did against Kentucky. So I'm excited to actually see what our team can do!" said David Mays.

"We love the big orange and we've not been here to see this new coach, so we are excited!" said Jennifer Kincaid.

Rocky Top was playing everywhere, and of course, there was plenty of tailgate action.

"We've got beverages, we've got snacks - we've got all our friends and family!" said Stephannie Miranda.

The American Red Cross was on standby, helping people deal with the heat by handing out water and providing first aid to anyone in need. Fans told me their plans to beat the heat:

"Drink a lot of water!" said Michelle Cordell.

"We've got waters, we've got juice - you know, the hydration is key." said David Mays.
