Authorities respond to a pedestrian hit by car in west Knoxville (WVLT/Hilary Magacs)
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 19 year-old man was rushed to UT Medical Center with what were described as serious injuries after being hit by a car in west Knoxville Tuesday morning.
According to the Knoxville Police Dept., Thomas Sanders was outside the Papermill Pointe Office Complex, 1304 Papermill Pointe, shortly after 10:00 a.m. when he "darted" across Papermill Drive and was struck. The woman driving the 1999 Buick Park Ave. that hit him told authorities she could not stop before hitting him.
Police said they have not issued any citations related to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
