GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The teen wanted in connection to the murder of his father in Greene County has been captured in South Carolina along with three other wanted suspects.
Zack Blanchard, 16, was wanted in connection with the shooting death of 36-year-old Robert J. Blanchard.
The Greene County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called out to a home Snapps Ferry Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday. And that is when deputies found Robert Blanchard's body with an apparent gunshot wound.
An alert for a vehicle possibly connected to the murder was put out and by 5:00 a.m., the South Carolina Highway Patrol found a car matching that description in Newberry County, S.C. Four people in that car got out and ran into a nearby forest.
According to a flyer, along with Blanchard, the three others arrested are Liam Lawler, Shelby Riley, and Daniel Richards-Birchfield.
It's unclear what role, if any, Lawler, Riley, and Richards-Birchfield may have had in the murder.
