KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- It's a National Championship Bowl unlike anything you've heard of before and four teens from East Tennessee now hold the National Title.
It's called the Bible Bowl; just one of the many competitions held at the National Free Will Baptist Church Convention.
This year's winners are all in high school and are a part of the Hardin Valley Free Will Baptist Church.
Hermon Phuntling, Lucas Mitchell, Dakota Kron, and Brandon Presley had to study eight books of the Bible splitting it into 36 chapters each.
The competition was set up similar to Jeopardy with only 15 seconds to answer each question.
Not only did they have to answer questions but they had to memorize exact verses from the Bible.
Dakota Kron, Fulton High School Junior said "It took a lot of work and dedication to study the our Bible verses every day especially when we have work, school, and after school activities."
Each team member took home $1,000 scholarship for any Free Will Baptist College in the nation.
As for next year, the team says they'll be back and ready for another win!
