Tennessee ranks as one of the worst places in the country for allergies

Knoxville,Tenn. (WVLT) - It's important to get an allergy skin test and CAT scans to check your sinuses.

During the spring time, there's more exposure to mold and pollen. It takes 15 minutes to get your results back from the allergy skin test. Doctors said it's a quick painless procedure that could help you find out the cause behind your itchy eyes and runny nose.

"We can identify those specific allergies and tell you how to avoid those allergens, if possible, and last but not least if shots are necessary," said Dr. Ty Prince with The Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center.

Tennessee ranks as one of the worst places in the country for allergies and Blount County ranks among one of the worst counties in East Tennessee.
