A Local 8 Weather Alert has been issued for Wednesday morning (the busiest travel day of the year), due to the cold rain and wet snow mix expected across East Tennessee. While it may be a cold rain in the Valley, drivers headed toward the Smokies or the Tri-Cities are more likely to encounter moderate wet snow showers. Please be advised.
Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) - Friday is the last day to donate to the 25th Battle of the Orange and Blue blood drive and UT is now in the lead.
The Vols are up 2370 to 2357 over UK.
The blood drive started Monday. The week-long blood drive pits Tennessee and Kentucky fans against each other just ahead of the match up between the two teams.
You can donate at one of Medic's two locations - on Ailor Avenue in Knoxville and the other in Farragut.
Kentucky fans have won the competition the last two years and Medic wants Volunteer fans back on the winning side of this event.
To sweeten the pot, donors will be treated to a free regal cinema movie pass with no expiration. Donors will also be given a game day t-shirt and a coupon for a small one-topping pizza from Papa John's pizza.
