Knox County seeing an increase in drunk driver arrests

Knoxville, Tenn. How much of a problem is drunk driving in our area? In two years, more than 750 people were arrested for drunk driving.

Deputies are still cracking down on this growing problem.
Last year, in Knox County, deputies made 494 DUI arrests.
And not even halfway through this year, already, 253 cuffed.

Before you pop the top - make sure you have a designated driver.

It's a choice that could be the difference between life and death.

"You may think you're a little buzzed but you may be impaired under the law it's not safe for you," said Knox County Deputy, Lt .Todd Clark.

Deputies are enforcing no refusal starting next Wednesday until the following Monday.
