Thousands in Knoxville for Destination Imagination

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Thousands of people are in town this weekend for Destination Imagination's Global Finals.

More than 16,000 people are attending the world's largest creative thinking and problem solving competition for kids elementary through 12th grade.

This year marks the 30th Anniversary for Destination Imagination and more than 1,400 teams representing 42 states and 14 countries are expected to compete at the University of Tennessee.

The closing ceremony will be held Saturday, May 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
