Thousands of kid attend Safe Kid Day at ballpark

KODAK, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Elementary schools from all over Knox County met up at Smokies Stadium for the 22nd Annual Safe Kids and Health Awareness Day.

The day started with demonstrations and speakers talking about healthy decisions for drug-free lifestyles, along with the development of overall good health and character.

The kids had a chance to meet Tennessee Smokies players, dance in a flash mob and enjoy a game at the ballpark.

It's an annual tradition that the Smokies and Knox County School System enjoy and hope to keep around for years to come.
