KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three students have been charged with disorderly conduct after a fight on a Knox County School bus.
Bus #10 was on the way to Powell High School when the driver says a fight broke out and she had to stop the bus near Ho Co Ta Ke Lane and Pleasant Ridge Road.
The driver told police two young women, age 15 and 16, and possibly 2-3 more students were engaged in a fight and ignored her commands to stop. She says they continued fighting until she physically separated them.
Police say a 17-year-old man jumped out of the back of the bus in an apparent attempt to flee the scene. He was identified as the brother of one of the women involved in the fight.
Police say there were no injuries reported. The man and two young women were charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the Richard L. Bean Service Center. Officers escorted the bus to school.
The bus has two security cameras and police say they will be able to review the footage, but it was not available for immediate review.
