Three students robbed while waiting at their bus stop

Three South Doyle High School students robbed while waiting at their bus stop and their attackers remain on the loose.

Officers say they're looking for two men last seen running near train tracks on Island Home Avenue.

It happened around 7:40a.m. near the 2300 block of Island Home Avenue.

Officers say the men approached the victims assaulted one and as the other two tried to run, the men grabbed their backpacks with their school issued laptops.

Investigators say several leads have been developed. The 11th grade male victim received a busted lip and refused any medical attention.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Knoxville Police Department's crime information line at 865-215-7212. Callers can remain anonymous.
