SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Sevierville Police Department has set up a fund for the family of the toddler who died after becoming trapped underneath a toppled dresser on Thursday.
Investigators believe the 20 month-old Lincoln Akers had climbed up the dresser, causing it to fall. He was rushed to Leconte Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Lincoln is the son of Sevierville officer Adam Akers. The case was turned over to the Medical Examiner's Office whose investigators ruled it an accidental death.
