KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - If you were on campus today, you had a chance not only to cheer on the Vols, but feed our area's hungry.
The 21st annual Tim Kerin Memorial Towel Drive was held outside of Neyland Stadium.
Orange and white power towels were available for a suggested donation of $5 to Second Harvest Food Bank.
"This probably provides about 150 thousand meals in our 18 county service area. This particular drive. It is a huge event for us. The stars are aligned for us, the Vols are gonna beat the Gators. It's a really great day, we're almost out of towels already," said Elaine Sterno, the executive director of Second Harvest.
Tim Kerin made an impact on Big Orange Country as the UT head athletic trainer and was Trainer of the Year in 1992.
Arby's Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic and Power Systems sponsored this year's event.
