KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Interstate 75 is back open after a major crash Friday night.
It happened in North Knox County. The Southbound side of the interstate was shutdown for much of the night just South of Raccoon Valley Road.
THP says a tractor tractor went off the road and flipped after hitting an abandoned SUV on the side of the road.
The driver has been identified as 61 year-old Joe Collins from Knoxville.
Collins was flown to UT Medical center and is listed to be in serious condition.
Sergeant Bill Miller with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
An overturned tractor trailer has shut down southbound lanes of-75 in Knox County.
Lifestar was called to the scene, but it's unclear if anyone was flown to a hospital.
Traffic is currently being routed around the accident site at exits 122 and 117 in Knox County.
TDOT officials say the scene could take "several hours" to clear.
Northbound traffic is flowing normally.
