KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- Rural Metro and Knox County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a wreck in the 8 thousand block of Conner Road, near Tate Trotter Road.
According to the sheriff's office, the driver of a pick-up truck lost control and crashed into a pole on the other side of the road.
The driver was taken to U.T. Medical Center with serious injuries.
Investigators say speed was a factor. They're now investigating whether alcohol played a role.
No one else was hurt.
