Two sandwich places robbed in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Police are investigating robberies at two different restaurants.

The first was at Lenny's Subs Shop in the 9000 block of Kingston Pike near Market Place in west Knoxville. Employees say two men entered the store, one armed with gun. They ran off with an undetermined amount of cash.That happened around 7:30 this evening.

A short time later, around 8:00, KPD says the Nixon's Deli on Merchants Drive in north Knoxville was robbed by a man with a screwdriver.

Police aren't sure if the two crimes are related.

They are looking for whoever was behind both robberies.
