United Way of Blount County hosting "Victory" celebration

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The United Way of Blount County reached its annual fundraising goal and Friday it will celebrate.

The organization is hosting "Victory" to celebrate reaching its $1.96 million goal.

The event is an annual end-of-campaign celebration at First
United Methodist Church of Maryville. That's at 804 Montvale Station Road. The celebration begins at noon.

Campaign Chairman Dave Ogle and his campaign cabinet will announce their campaign totals for the United Way of Blount County and will deliver reports from each division.

Volunteers and organizations will also be recognized for their support.

United Way of Blount County's goal is to create lasting change in the community by addressing the root causes of the county's problems.
