KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It's been a season of ups and downs for the Tennessee Vols.

The team's head coach Butch Jones said, "This team has become closer than any team I've ever been a part of."

As they tackle their last home game he also said, "We have to get better as a head football team and program."

Tennessee had a major win against South Carolina, and they almost tumbled over Georgia.

With a new head football coach and team of recruits, many fans say the Vols are back!

Doug Larkins said, "I want to see a lot of enthusiasm on the field. I want to see the seniors go out on a good note, they deserve it."

The student section may have not been as packed as in the past, but younger fans said they are just getting started.

"Were getting new recruits in, even running backs. We're only looking for the best," said Kelsey Jones.

Seniors on the football team will be honored for their contributions as student-athletes. These seniors will be honored: Joseph Ayres, Austin Bolen, Brent Brewer, Alex Bullard, J.R.
