KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- UPDATE: 100 Cars for Good named Horse Haven of Tennessee as one of it's winners in a contest for a Toyota van.
The organization will use the van to transport its mascot "Twinkie" to educational events. The miniature horse also visits community events to raise awareness for Horse Haven.
Horse Haven of Tennessee is one of 250 finalists in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good Program, an initiative awarding 100 vehicles over the course of 50 days to nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public.
If awarded a new vehicle, Horse Haven of Tennessee will be able to use a Toyota van to transport Twinkie, their mini pony mascot, for educational events across East Tennessee. Twinkie helps Horse Haven teach children about responsible horse ownership.
