SCOTT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- An emergency meeting of the Scott County Commission is set for next Monday, October 22nd.
On the agenda, reopening Scott County's only hospital.
According to commissioner Ernest Phillips, he thinks progress must have been made between county leaders and S.M. Promen, the company wanting to run the shutdown facility.
The length of the contract and what can be done with the building are the main issues, dividing both sides.
The meeting will start at 5. If an agreement is reached, the district attorney must still sign off on it.
It's unclear if the hospital, which closed in May, will be open again by the end of the year.
