KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Mayor Tim Burchett wants to know where you think the next Knox Co. Cash Mob should be. On Monday, his office announced it will let the community pick the next location.
“We get a lot of feedback from people with suggestions for possible cash mob locations,” said Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett. “This is a good way to get the community and local businesses directly involved in deciding the location of the next Knox Cash Mob.”
Nominations will be accepted online (link) until noon on Friday, March 1. The mayor's office will then post the top five nominees and open the voting at 5:00 p.m. Voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, and the winning business will be announced two days later.
Only locally-owned businesses based in south Knoxville that have not previous hosted a cash mob are eligible. The Mayor's Office reserves the right to withdraw certain businesses from consideration if it serves a limited clientele.
