RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — A Richmond woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the slaying and dismemberment of her ex-boyfriend's wife.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports 30-year-old Christina Marcum also was sentenced Friday to an additional year in prison for receiving tweezers and makeup in jail.

Marcum was convicted in March of complicity to commit murder, complicity to tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution in the 2011 death of Angela Frazier-Singleton. Her dismembered body was found in trash bags about a week after she was last seen alive.

Prosecutors said Marcum and Jason Singleton, the victim's husband, worked together to kill Frazier-Singleton. He has pleaded guilty to complicity to murder and is serving a 30-year prison sentence.

Steve Romines, defense attorney for Marcum, said he plans to appeal.
