Knox Co. School Board extends McIntyre contract by 1 yr.

Updated: 09/01/2009 - The Knox County School Board voted Monday afternoon to extend superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre's contract by one year. His contract will now expire on Aug. 31, 2013. He will not get a raise based on the contract extension, Volunteer TV's Mike McCarthy reports. McIntyre will, however, get a raise if certified teachers in Knox County get raises. His raise would match theirs.

Earthquake shakes part of East Tennessee
