Jurors give Cobbins life without parole

Updated: 08/27/2009 - Jurors have decided that convicted carjacker, rapist, and murder Letalvis Cobbins should not die for his crimes. They sentenced him Wednesday night to life in prison without parole on first degree murder and felony murder counts relating to the death of Channon Christian in January 2007. Jurors had to deciding whether or not the convicted murderer will receive the death penalty, life in prison, or life in prison without the possibility of parole. LIVE BLOG: Cobbins guilty of 1st deg. murder, most other counts; eligible for death penalty

Updated: 08/26/2009 - Letalvis Cobbins killed Channon Christian and is responsible for the death of Christopher Newsom, a jury ruled Tuesday. Cobbins was found guilty of most counts against him, including several lesser-included offenses. He was only found not guilty of a couple of charges. The 1st degree premeditated murder of Christian makes Cobbins eligible for the death penalty. He'll learn his fate Wednesday.
