Corker, Alexander, Wamp react to Volkswagen's planned plant in Chattanooga

Posted: 07/15/2008 - U.S. Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and U.S. Representative Zach Wamp (R-TN) offered federal reaction to today’s announcement from Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. that it will build a U.S. automotive production facility in Chattanooga, Tenn., where it will produce a car designed specifically for the North American consumer and invest $1 billion in the economy. Corker, Alexander, and Wamp will join Volkswagen and other Tennessee government leaders for the announcement at 11:30 a.m. EDT at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga.

Traffic alert: Eastbound lanes of Rutledge Pike OPEN
